RENIA – Syntic-TOTAL – Clear High-Performance PUR Vinyl-Cement

Renia Syntic-TOTAL is a crystal-clear, non-yellowing Polyurethane (PUR) contact adhesive developed by Renia GmbH. Unlike traditional polychloroprene (CR) cements, Syntic-TOTAL is engineered specifically for bonding soft & hard PVC (Vinyl), transparent materials, and technical synthetic fabrics.

It provides extraordinary resistance to plasticizer migration (stopping adhesive breakdown on soft vinyl) while maintaining a completely invisible, flexible bond line.

Recommended Materials & Applications:

Automotive & Marine Trimming: Marine PVC upholstery, vinyl dashboard wrapping, boat canopies, clear PVC window foils, door cards, and PUR seat foam rebuilding.
Technical & Synthetic Fabrics: Artificial leather, nylon, Perbunan-N, coated canvas, and natural leather.
Footwear & Plastics: Soft/hard PVC, transparent soles, TR rubber (with Rehagol), EVA, felt, and cork.
General Workshop: Invisible bonding where amber contact adhesives cannot be used.

Material Preparation & Application Guide:

Surface Preparation: Sand all materials thoroughly and remove dust. Clean greasy surfaces with a solvent cleaner.

TR (Thermoplastic Rubber): Sand and apply Renia-Rehagol Primer; apply Syntic-TOTAL after 5 minutes.

PUR (Polyurethane Foam): Sand lightly, press with absorbent paper to remove moisture/oil. Apply a thin coat of Syntic-TOTAL directly to seal the foam (no separate PUR primer needed). Allow 10 minutes, then coat both sides normally.

Application: Apply an even coat to BOTH surfaces. Apply a second coat on porous materials if required.

Open Assembly Time:

• General Materials: 5 – 30 minutes

• TR Rubber: 3 – 15 minutes

• PVC / Vinyl: 10 – 45 minutes

• Quick drying: IR-Lamp (80°C for 3 minutes).

Pressure & Pressing:

Standard Pressure: 1 – 5 bar (15 – 60 psi) depending on material firmness.

Minimum Press Time: 1 bar = min. 60 seconds; 3 bar = min. 30 seconds. (Reduce pressure on soft foam to avoid crushing the cell structure).

Curing: Instant initial strength allows immediate edge trimming. Full chemical and thermal cure develops over 24–48 hours.
