Car Headliner Fabric (Roof Lining Material)
AVTEXA supplies foam-backed car headliner fabric from Kilkenny to trimmers, restorers and DIY owners across Ireland and Northern Ireland. If your roof lining is sagging or stained, this is the headlining material used to re-cover the original headliner board. Choose from microfiber (suede-look), pique, velour and brushed nylon styles. Most are about 180 cm wide, which covers the roof of most cars in one piece. Fabric is sold by the linear metre and cut in one continuous length. Free samples are available on selected colours for €2 postage, so you can match your interior before you order. In-stock items ordered before 3pm are dispatched the same day. For fitting, pair it with Trim-Fix high-temperature spray adhesive.
Frequently asked questions
How much headliner fabric do I need for a car?
Measure the length of your headliner board and add about 10–15 cm for wrapping the edges. At about 180 cm wide, one length usually covers a car roof without joins. For larger vans or estates, check the board width first.
What glue should I use for a car headliner?
Use a high-temperature spray adhesive. Roof linings get hot in summer, and ordinary glue lets go. Trim-Fix is heat-resistant up to 110 °C and is made for headliners, foam and fabric.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. Free samples are available on selected lines, and you only pay €2 postage by An Post.
How much is delivery?
Headliner rolls ship by DPD. Delivery is €12, or €22 for oversized rolls, and goes to all of Ireland and Northern Ireland. In-stock items ordered before 3pm are dispatched the same day. GB/EU delivery is available on request.
