RENIA – R+L Cleaner – Acetone-Based Cleaning & Thinning Solvent

Renia R+L Cleaner is a specialized, high-purity solvent formulated in Germany by Renia GmbH. It is engineered specifically as a multi-purpose degreaser, surface activator, and official thinner for Polyurethane (PUR) adhesives.

Formulated 100% free of Toluene and MEK, Renia R+L quickly breaks down grease, release agents, and plasticizer residues, ensuring maximum adhesive anchorage on modern automotive and upholstery materials.

Recommended Uses & Applications:

Adhesive Thinning: Adjusting the viscosity of Renia Syntic-TOTAL for spray applications, fine coatings, or porous substrates.
Surface Cleaning & Prep: Pre-treatment of automotive dashboards, door cards, marine PVC vinyl, steering wheels, steel pillars, and aluminium body panels.
Footwear & Leathercraft: Cleaning soles, degreasing leather edges, and preparing thermoplastic materials before cementing.
Workshop Maintenance: Deep cleaning of application brushes, dispensing containers, spatulas, and spray equipment.

Usage & Application Guide:

Surface Degreasing:

1. Apply Renia R+L onto a clean, lint-free cotton cloth.

2. Wipe the bonding surface thoroughly to remove grease, oils, and contaminants.

3. Allow 1–2 minutes for the solvent to flash off completely before applying primer or adhesive.

Thinning Polyurethane (PUR) Adhesives:

1. Add small amounts of Renia R+L directly to Renia Syntic-TOTAL.

2. Stir thoroughly until the desired brushing or spraying consistency is reached.

3. Note: Do NOT use Renia R+L to thin polychloroprene (CR) adhesives like Colle de Cologne or Multi-Colle (use Renia Schnellkleber-Verdünner instead).

Tool Cleaning:

1. Soak brushes and tools immediately after finishing work with PUR adhesives.

2. Wipe clean with a cloth once the glue has fully dissolved.
